Little Pete is the proud owner of a handsome new Solwayer guitar… we thought it was getting a bit fender heavy on stage. We think it sounds a bit like a gibson SG at times, but with a lot more flexibility. Anyway, it’s handmade and its English and it looks and sounds perfect for us. Pete said that upon playing it he ‘suddenly realised he’d been playing the wrong guitar for the past 3 years’. We’re quite rightly obsessed with our guitars; it has to feel really good in your hands, especially when you’re playing it every night on tour, then recording with it, and writing with it. (Tommy is still playing the same Fender strat squire which he’s had since he was 12.)

A guitar like this doesn’t come cheaply and obviously not everyone is a famous rock star but we think it’s worth looking for a guitar that’s unique, or at least a bit different from what everyone else is playing. (and one which obviously sounds fantastic) Anyway, this is the new member of our band

Greetings. Our European tour is well under way, it’s great to be back.
The thing about Northern Europe is that people give you a lot of cheese and ham. Soft pre sliced gouda or edam, and neatly rolled up pieces of salami. Its nice but it gets a bit overwhelming sometimes. Nice brown beers we’ve been drinking in holland – some kind of ‘bock’. Apparently Holland has no traditional cuisine. If anyone can shed any light on this it would be great.
“Breaking Bad”, “The Killing” and “Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show, Great Job!” are the TV shows that are keeping us entertained on tour. Check them out if, like us, you have a lot of time to kill.
Utrecht is home of ‘village cafe’ where David and Tommy had the best espresso they have ever had. Had nuances of apricot. Pete C opted for a Cortado, which was nice. Afterwards, we went back to our apartment, where we cooked ourselves a lovely meal and played games til the wee hours. Basically, we’re on holiday!
We’d like to thank Richard Branson (and Buzz Aldrin) for the nice mention here, Great Job!
