Dear Pirates,
I have been listening to ‘indie’ music since 1979/80. At various times and throughout the ages, I have happened upon a band that has achieved a level above the rest: The Jam, The Specials, The Smiths, The Fall, The Wedding Present, Pixies, Radiohead et al. Can you imagine hearing ‘Ghost town’ in 1981; can you imagine ‘This Charming Man’ in October 1983? Dear Pirates, in 2011 you are that band. ‘One Thousand Pictures’ is that album, ‘Come to the Bar’ is that song. Congratulations, you have made it. It doesn’t matter if you sell 1 record or 1 million. I have to listen to ‘One Thousand Pictures’ at least once per day and its October. Keep calm and carry on.
