Moshtastic, i'd not spotted that, top work Moomin. Hyperventilating truth be known. BRMC at Concorde2 is something i'd love to see, wow. Forum too though. I'm off for a celebratory ale! ![]()
Offline
they are streaming their new album on myspace
http://www.myspace.com/blackrebelmotorcycleclub
missed out on tickets for Forum so seeing them at Electric Ballroom instead
hoping the price of everything is cheaper in EB
Forum is a complete rip off now
for a tiny cola it was £2
Offline
Hey thanks for that. you've made my Sunday night! Some good tunes there for sure. You are in for a treat at EB I assure you! (yes yes i know music is such a personal thing and you cant really tell anybody what is good ..I cant stand Muse or Kings of Shite for example, but let's just say i'd be surprised if you didn't think the fayre they do live is a class above the norm)
Offline
well seeing as I also cant stand Muse and dont really regard KOL that highly then I am thinking I can trust your judgement
really cannot wait
hoping for a Modest Mouse type affair and if they are really good I will be looking out for tickets for at least one of the forum shows
only recently purchased Howl and Baby 81
love them both think I am slightly more swayed towards Baby 81 but its a whisker between them

That''s interesting, it's the first two which I love (though I like large parts of the above too). This new one (though I'm not sure about the lead single) sounds like it may be the best since Take Them On On Your Own (my fave) so I'm pretty pleased.
Offline
ah I equally love the first two but on the recent purchases of Howl and Baby 81 its Baby that gets my preference
really liking the new one as well![]()

Thanks BB, yeah, went last night. First class (see clip), I just can't fault them really but i'd have given them another 20 quid for a final frenzy of Love Burns, Rifles, Need Some Air and Heart & Soul
.

It's fun that they are still suffciently under the radar to still play venues like Concorde2 though I wish them massive success too. Enjoyed your Songkick reviews btw and got my Brixton Academy tickets this morning!

I am soooo tempted by Utrecht
I just need to convince someone that it is a great idea
I love Need Some Air
think that might be my fave
They played Love Burns at Electric Ballroom but have read they have dropped it since
why??
top song
downloaded the instrumental album as well and despite me not usually liking albums like that I love it
Got Brixton
going to do Notts as well and hoping I can get Norwich tickets as the UEA is a brilliant venue

after careful consideration and heavy listening Baby 81 has become my current favourite album, with my most of my favourite songs on there, like Lien On Your Dreams, Need Some Air (which I adore and get goosebumps listening to) berlin, Weapon of Choice, 666 Conducer and American X.
I still love BRMC, as some of the songs on there like What Ever Happened To My Rock N Roll, Love Burns, Spread Your Love, Awake, Red Eyes and Tears, White Palms and Rifles cannot be improved upon.
Shade of Blue on Take Them On. On Your Own I find an emotional listen, he seems to be singing directly from the heart on that particular song leaving none of the heartbreak desperation out of it.
Honestly Neat Beats I feel like I have to thank you for popping these back into my life, cannot believe I become so sidetracked I had literally forgotten how good they are.![]()
edit
just cos I am now going to see them in Zwolle
still trying to find how to get tickets for Utrecht would be great if I could do both
also hoping someone out there wants to come with me for shits and giggles but I might have to fly solo on this one

It was only because you hadn't caught them live probably! What a difference that can make. I went to Brussels 2 years ago to catch them and loved it!
Offline
that is true
that is very true
where in Brussels?
really cannot wait for Utrecht and Zwolle
Offline
still playing the albums over and over
am trying to slot in other gems like modest mouse but I keep going back to BRMC at the moment
so glad i have gigs of theirs to look forward to

Hey Bumblebee did you get the album version with the 1:51 and Martyr bonus tracks on it? I didn't :'( . Both would be in my top 3 on the album so I simply don't understand why they aren't on the main body of work. They are another outfit who seem to market so badly. I cant even get them on Itunes at the moment. I want to give my money away and they dont want it! ![]()
