We actually celebrated this at my work last year. I brought a bowl of oranges and posted a sign about the horrible effects of scurvy. Apparently people are not afraid of scurvy so much anymore.

lol I got halfway through the day without remembering, didn't do anything big, just had the odd Convo in 'pirate' there's a really good video with instructions in YouTube

I don't think I've ever taken advantage of this "holiday" but it usually gets some attention where I live because of a local pirate themed band called The Jolly Garogers. Of course all the band members have appropriate names such as Captain Phleabag.
take a good look at yourself/and take it all in
It's infectious and who doesn't like pirates?

did any of you see the pirate language on facebook?
like where you can change the languages at the bottom of the page, they have 'english (pirate)' or w.e. and its pretty funny to set it to. lol
