Wanna speak what I’ve seen, wanna reach what I’ve dreamed, wanna be kind.
Wanna seal what I’ve cut, wanna heal without rush, wanna ease time.
With your hand on your loss, all you’ve seen truly cost, no one told you.
And it grew from the day into night I’m the chain that will join you.

Re: Scala London - 4th Oct 2011

about time!

Scala was fantastic, lasting thought was at last the band have turned into that amazing band I always knew they were

Glass I really enjoyed although they still need a bit of breaking in but so good to see Matthew back in a band
whenever he gave his voice the power in the songs, that is when they really stood out for me.

Also enjoyed My Sad Captains although I wasnt expecting to
so yeah a great gig

Re: Scala London - 4th Oct 2011

Meant to say also that the decision to go "high tempo" for the first 5 tracks or so was brilliant. It got the whole place rocking from the  off. By then a small change in momentum is probably a natural requirementanyway so cue a slower track or two. It really was spot on. Heard someone say they peaked too soon with "Mr Understanding" in early but it totally worked for me. Missed "Bright Lights" but obvioulsy this is a minor negative. Saw cameras recording the thing. Anyone know where we might discover future footage?

I haven't a clue what you look like so you're going to have to help me out (and help a lazy person like me from watching all of the clips big_smile).

Review time. Saying pretty much what we've all thought for some years now. Thomas gets a bit of a kick in mind. I'd be happy if he stood still said nout and sulked the whole way through. Provided I'm not robbed of all things "jangly guitars" little wrong can be done smile

While they keep the inter-song banter to a minimum, somehow they still completely charm me and leave me grinning until my cheeks hurt at the end of a gig big_smile.

wow maybe she should have checked them a few years ago when there was little to no crowd banter
I think they have come on leaps and bounds in that area, as long as they keep improving musically then who cares about the chit chat*

*as long as they dont become moody self absorbed wankers wink

Motorbike is a great song, brilliant in the genre in which it sits too but not my fave overall. It is the
"high energy" jangly guitar ones of slightly less gentleness that render me a Pirates disciple. One's fave changes from time to time but at the moment i'm having a "Bright Lights" phase wink

Seems like this is where it went (for starters anyway), BBC documentary!
