Great work. I'm in. If it turns out to be a friggin DJ set thing I'll be more patient next time.

So, tonight's the night! This is the first time I can remember a Pirates night being sold out very quickly. Progress! Annoying though as I had interested parties who can't go as a result. Even though it wasn't that long ago since The Scala I still can't wait for this one. Who's goin???

Tuesday night was, as usual very enjoyable. Venue was dead small dive bar-esque establishment. A privilege to be there on the basis of all things "intimacy" prior to the world domination that is clearly going to happen at some point. Have to say the crowd though was pretty conservative. You definately need the drunk, younger (than me) raucus element to spark off everybody else and that wasn't really there. When i'm raucus everyone just thinks i'm just sad (which I might well be)
. A few technical hitches were encountered but all sounded fine to me given the dodgy acoustics you might expect in a little place like that. Delighted that "Bright Lights" and "Lost In the Woods" were in there. Really delighted. These completely encompass the spirit of sound that grabbed me in the first place. Would listen to these before "Come to the Bar" all day long (not that the latter is awful). Anyway, they also did the following, though not in any particular order. May have forgotten 1 or 2 but this was the bulk of it...
Little Gun
Cold Black Kitty
Knots
Can't fish
Mr Understanding
Winter1
Come to the bar
She Soesn't Belong to me
United
Motorbike
Half Moon Street
Blood Gets Thin
Reprise
Decent old list. Would love to be surprised by a rendition of "Knife" one day. Roll on the next one and new tune-age.

A small gig playing anything before "Little Death" - would be great (and different) haha ![]()
