swiss shocker

Hello. We spent the weekend away didn't we. In other European towns. My personal highlights include leisure at the funfair in Hamburgs MASSIVE 'dom' fair. (Pete and jonny actually got lost in the fair. Jonny was in paradise- he liked all the sweets.) The general conclusion about Germany is that German people really are quite good at things that most other nations would do quite halfheartedly. Ever been to a German Christmas market? It's enough to make even the staunchest scrooge feel seasonal nostalgia.

we also found these massive neumman microphones installed in the airport.

and a piece of advice from a tourist to hamburg, written on the toilet wall:

Here is an unfortunate incident i captured on film: thank you for visiting. when i get my 'proper' photos developed form my nice filmy wilmy camera i'll post some up if they're good. ok, bye for now. b

It was nice having you over in Switzerland – and now come and visit Bern. It’s actually quite nice. Really, it is

The Jam, The Specials, The Smiths, The Fall, The Wedding Present, Pixies, Radiohead et al. Can you imagine hearing ‘Ghost town’ in 1981; can you imagine ‘This Charming Man’ in October 1983?-FXDD
